Sofrita was tasty but more of a taco style which I wasn't expecting but still very tasty. My dad enjoyed the burrito suizo covered in salsa and cheese. My aunt got the carnitas and was wowed by the bountiful deliciousness. Would go back for sure
After finally heading here this summer, we have been ordering food from here every two weeks on average. I've loved everything I've had - shrimp tacos, fish tacos. Al pastor, flautas, salsa, chips, guacamole. Very solid place and I'm so happy we finally tried it! Super cute too and nice outdoor tables when the weather is good.
Amazing food. Chicken was fresh and tender. Steak quesadillas were delicious. Service was excellent. I like the very large outdoor dining area. Usually outdoor seating is so cramped. Thank you for a great lunch.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! Drinks and food!!!!! Loved every bite! I've never had sweet plantains at a Mexican restaurant, such an enhancement! Can't wait to come back! My husband and I sat outside on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, music was on point! Everything was just perfect! We loved the Flaka Margarita and Mojito! My chicken mole was excelled and my husband's steak burrito had to be one of the best since moving to the suburb's!!! Can't wait to return for another afternoon delight!

I am so upset we didn't discover Mia's Cantina sooner! The food here is absolutely top notch. Even my picky as heck kid begs to go there (he's a fan of the steak tacos). For me, the Tacos Norteños are the winner, I've never had anything like it anywhere else. The flavor of the sauce, the fresh meat and toppings, absolutely stellar. Great beans and rice too. The service is always quick and friendly, the man who has taken care of us both times seamlessly runs the bar and waited on us as well. The restaurant is clean and large, would be great for big groups, and my husband plans to bring his work colleagues for a meal there soon! Decorations are bright and fun. We are huge fans, now we are telling everyone to check it out! 5 stars without hesitation.
My husband and I stopped by this place on a whim because it smelled so good and the food looked amazing as we passed by on the street. We ordered the queso as an appetizer. It came in a mini cast iron skillet, and almost tasted like beer cheese instead of traditional queso, but it was amazing! The chips seem like they're probably made in-house as well. I ordered the fried Baja tacos and was very impressed! The batter was perfect, but the chipotle sauce was the star of the show! My husband got the burrito and told me he enjoyed it as well! There was a sign at the door saying it was the top rated Mexican restaurant in Mt Prospect and I can understand why! It is a small restaurant, but we were still able to get in on a Friday evening in about 10 minutes. It's very colorful and fun inside, and the service was great. Highly recommend stopping by here if you're in the area!
